First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support over the last 6+  years. When Danny and I launched FLORA in 2019, we didn’t know anything about manufacturing, marketing, or building a brand; we were just two bartenders who loved the science behind drinks and wanted to give people another adult beverage option when they were taking a night off from alcohol. We pooled together all the money we had at the time (about $1200) to purchase a small stovetop pot still, and started steam distilling our original non-alcoholic spirit in a one bedroom apartment in Chicago. We never imagined the brand growing to where it is today, and certainly didn’t think it would be on the shelves at some of the largest retailers in the United States. We have you to thank for that.

As you may have heard, last week on 11/16/2025 Congress added language into the bill to reopen the government that would essentially ban hemp nationwide effective November 2026. The bill passed, and was signed into law that night by President Trump.

Since the very beginning, we have always tried to do things the right way. It’s one of the main reasons we manufacture our products to this very day. Our facility is FDA registered and inspected, our products are third party tested, and we do not use any synthetic cannabinoids. We go above and beyond to source organic ingredients, and have even gone as far as to invest in custom child resistant packaging for our multiserve products.

Now, with the simple stroke of a pen, FLORA and the entire hemp industry could be extinct by this time next year. As you might expect, watching all of this unfold has produced a lot of different emotions for us, but what we feel the most is determination. We believe with every fiber of our being that FLORA belongs wherever alcohol is sold. Over the next 12 months, we will fight for your right to choose THC beverages at bars, restaurants, and liquor stores and we will contribute a portion of our proceeds at www.drinkflora.com to help get safe, responsible regulations for these products. To assist in these efforts, we are also asking you to reach out to your members of congress in support of hemp beverages. If you don’t have a personal story to share, I’ve included a template you can copy and paste but the most important thing is that they hear from you.
